Privacy Policy

The short version: ruler. collects no personal data. The ruler runs entirely in your browser and nothing you measure ever leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. ruler. has no backend, no database, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no cookies. We do not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, screen contents, or measurements.

Local storage

The only data the site writes is to your browser’s localStorage, stored on your own device:

This data stays in your browser. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, and no copy exists anywhere else. If you clear your site data, you will simply need to calibrate again on your next visit.

Third-party services

The site is served as static files from a hosting provider (currently Vercel), which may keep standard server access logs (IP address, request time, page requested) for security and operations as any host does. We do not use these logs for advertising or profiling, and we do not combine them with any other data. The font files (Inter) are served from our own domain — no external CDNs, no third-party scripts.

Contact forms

The contact page builds an email in your own mail app; no message is ever sent to our server. Any email you choose to send to our support address is used only to answer your query and is not shared with third parties.

Children

Because we collect no data, this site is safe for all ages. It does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the site handles data, we will update this page. As long as the tool remains client-side, this policy will stay effectively the same: we cannot see you or your data.
